Data collection
The developer does not collect, store or sell your portfolio records or personal data through CostBasis. The app does not require an account with the developer and does not upload your portfolio to a proprietary server operated by the developer.
Advertising and consent
Unless you have ad-free access, CostBasis may display advertising provided by Google Mobile Ads. Google and its partners may process information such as your device or advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic data to provide, measure and protect their advertising services. Where required, CostBasis asks for your consent before requesting ads and provides access to privacy choices. CostBasis does not provide your portfolio records to Google Mobile Ads.

Subscription and purchases
CostBasis offers a monthly auto-renewable subscription that removes advertising while the subscription is active. Purchases and subscription management are processed by Apple through the App Store. CostBasis uses StoreKit transaction information only to determine whether ad-free access is active. Customers who purchased CostBasis before version 2.0 retain permanent ad-free access.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.
Data stored on your device
Your portfolios, transactions, preferences and calculated results are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or sync them.
Optional Google Drive sync
If you choose to use Google Drive sync, your backup is transferred to and stored in your own Google Drive account. The developer does not receive or control that data. Google’s terms and privacy practices apply to its service.
Market data
When you request refreshed market information, the app may send quote requests to Yahoo Finance. Those requests are subject to the data provider’s own terms and privacy practices. Your complete portfolio is not sent to the developer.
Exports and deletion
Excel exports and backups are created only when you initiate them. You control files you share or store outside the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data, subject to any backups or exports you created separately.

CostBasis is licensed, not sold. Your download and use of the app, including its subscriptions and services, are governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
