Data collection
The developer does not collect, store or sell your notes or personal data through Jotly. Jotly does not require an account with the developer and does not upload your notes to a proprietary server operated by the developer.
Advertising and consent
Unless you have purchased ad-free access, the iOS version of Jotly may display advertising provided by Google Mobile Ads. Google and its partners may process information such as your device or advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic data to provide, measure and protect their advertising services. Where required, Jotly asks for your consent before requesting ads and provides access to privacy choices.
For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Subscription and purchases
Jotly offers a monthly auto-renewable subscription that removes advertising while the subscription is active. Purchases and subscription management are processed by Apple through the App Store. Jotly uses StoreKit transaction information only to determine whether ad-free access is active.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.
Data stored on your device
Your notes, categories, tags, preferences and sync state are stored locally on your device. Jotly works without creating an account with the developer and without enabling a cloud provider.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync, a copy of your Jotly library is stored in your private iCloud/CloudKit database under your Apple account. The developer does not operate that service or receive your note content. Apple’s terms and privacy practices apply.
Optional Google Drive sync
If you connect Google Drive, Jotly requests the permissions needed to identify the selected Google account and synchronize files created or used by the app. Note copies are stored as ordinary Google Docs in your Drive, while app-specific metadata is stored in Google Drive’s private app data area. Google’s terms and privacy practices apply.
Google account information and credentials
Jotly may use your Google account identifier and email address to identify and display the connected account. OAuth refresh credentials are stored in the device Keychain, and access tokens are used to communicate directly with Google’s APIs. The developer does not receive your Google password.
Network communication
Network requests may occur for cloud features you enable, including Apple CloudKit and Google Drive, Docs and authentication services, as well as for advertising, consent management and App Store purchases on iOS. Jotly does not upload notes to a proprietary server operated by the developer.
Deletion and retention
Turning off a sync provider does not delete your local notes or existing cloud copies. Deleting a note while sync is enabled may synchronize that deletion to the configured provider. Deleting Jotly removes locally stored app data, subject to any copies retained in iCloud, Google Drive or device backups that you control.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Jotly’s features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
